Vapour (Aqua) Blasting
This process is very gentle and is used for cleaning Aluminium components. A very fine cleaning media, usually tiny glass spheres, is delivered at high pressure suspended in water. The process works by ‘flow’ not ‘impact’. The water acts as a lubricant thus protecting the ‘parent’ material, whilst carrying away surface contaminants. Very good surface finishes can be achieved with this process making it ideal for fine casting restoration.
PROCESSES
Dry Cabinet Blasting
This process is designed to remove paint and heavy surface detritus from both Aluminium and steel components. It is a more aggressive process using a selection of Aluminium Oxide media grades.
It is ideal for components that are to be powder coated or painted after cleaning.
